Agreed. However, as near as I can tell we have achieved it already.

| If nothing is done to make it hard to rename this to "xml.sax2" if
| necessary, I'd think it would soften any backward-compatability
| problems.

I can't think of anything that would make it hard, so I think we're
safe for now.
