I just went through the exercise of building XSV, gaaak.  Looking at
what was necessary to do this, well...  I guess I'm not surprised that
Schema is the way it is. :(

All the software is under the GPL, so we could take the packages and
distribute them in one convenient place.  Or perhaps we could just have
a writeup on how to do it.  I'm willing to do either, at least on a
one-time basis -- what would folks like?
