[XML-SIG] Whither xml.dom.core?

Howdy,

I've just getting my toes into Python, and I've run into an odd
stumbling block.  I'd like to use python to generate some xml -- I've
got python 2.1.1 and PyXML 0.6.6.  Unfortunately, all the tutorials
I've encountered start out with:

  from xml.dom import core

Which, on my systems, results in:

    from xml.dom import core
  ImportError: cannot import name core
Is this part of the base python distribution?  Or am I missing
something critical?
