[XML-SIG] Differing symbols in PyXML?

I imagine the changed symbols in Fred's minidom updates (e.g. DOMStringSizeErr
versus the new DomstringSizeErr) are to make them closer to Guido/Python style?
Isn't this going to cause problems given that the old versions of these
symbols remain in Python 2.2?
Is there any harm in supporting both forms?
