Actually, the alphas were "released" yesterday morning, but no one was
able to get to the announcement.

0.12.0a2 ia available now from Sourceforge and ftp.4suite.org

IMPORTANT alpha release notes

PyXML 0.7 is REQUIRED for Python 2.1.x on Windows because of a bug in
pyexpat.  In general, Python 2.2. is recommended for Windows users.

If you use the FlatFile driver for the repository, you must specify an
additional environment variable, FTSS_FLAT_FILE_ROOT, which is the
directory in which to put the flat file database files.  Feel free to
set this to a spot in your 4Suite share directory, for example,

/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/Ft/Share/Data

or

C:\Python22\Lib\site-packages\Ft\Share\Data
