Another solution is to use a XML-aware diff such as xmldiff
(http://www.logilab.org/projects/xmldiff). Some version control
systems like Subversion (http://subversion.tigris.org/) can be told to
use such a diff instead of their normal diff, thus making them able to
process intelligently XML files.
