(FWIW I've recently firewalled off a bunch of Baidu IPs because their crawler was ignoring robots.txt and hitting CGI scripts that require a small-ish amount of processing... never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.)
And *I* have a fail2ban rule just for BingBot. M$'s coders are somewhat clueless.
