Mailman 1.2 release date?

Greets all -
I've been lurking for a month now and it sounds like Mailman 1.2 will have many improvments and features over the current 1.1. release.
I'll be making the transistion from majordomo to mailman but figured it would be best to wait if 1.2 is around the cornor.
Can anyone here tell me the status of 1.2? Is there a tenitive release day/month/year or should I just install 1.1 as 1.2 is a ways off still?
Thanks for the help.

www.python.org already runs 1.2, but an experimental version. But it runs very well. I think you could get the latest CVS snapshot and put that on your site.

I've been convinced by a number of people to get a 1.2 release out sooner rather than later. It will be primarily a bug and security patch release. It will contain the new architecture for message delivery and bounce detection, but not I18N or user databases. I can't guarantee a release date, but expect to see betas Soon.

Barry -
Thanks much for the response. The whole reason I feel like waiting is because of bounce handling (I hate administrivia!). Also, I would like to see 'support' for postfix which is the MTA I'm currently using. From reading the lists it seems Mailman works better with some MTAs than others.

I have one list the refuses to let me do anything with the admin interface. I can log in with either the site or list password, but any time I try to submit any changes, it simply returns me to the password screen.
This only happens on ONE list out of 15 that I have on my server. Any insights or help will be greatly appreciated. I really am hoping that I don't have to delete this list and re-create it as it has over a year worth of archives and about 200 members.
Thanks in advance for your help.
