Nice work. One of the students in Heather's class had a last name of Mitchell. I had to stifle a chuckle. On Tue, Sep 27, 2011 at 5:03 PM, Cameron Hummels < chummels@astro.columbia.edu> wrote:
Great work, Matt! Thanks for taking everyone through the sometimes confusing steps of getting started developing! Oh, and I really like the title slide!
I personally like the look of vimeo, as it appears more professional, and we already have a lot of content there. For now, my vote is to just upload to vimeo, but if the situation with youtube changes, we can always switch down the road.

I like vimeo, especially since we have a bunch of yt videos up there now. I'll also note that G+ allows you to upload movies there directly and it makes it available right away in multiple resolutions (up to 720p i think). I just tested a video upload and I think a public post would be added to your public Picasa albums. Not that we should necessarily post there, but there's nothing wrong with posting multiple places.
two cents, sam

Cameron & Matt,
What are your thoughts?
Does YouTube limit free HD uploads like Vimeo does? If not, that's a good reason to go with YouTube.
I think that YouTube has unlimited upload, but limits the time you can have in each video.
One major downside to YouTube is that from what I can tell, creating groups/channels/etc is pretty cumbersome compared to Vimeo. I may be wrong, though, so someone else should feel free to correct me on this.
