[Chicago] [ChiPy] Meetup Cancelled: Django Study Group

Chris,

David Matsumura and I organize the finance SIG. Like any user group, the
level of commitment will probably reflect the interests of the leaders as
well as the members. At a minimum there needs to be meeting space (Vokal
probably has it covered) and content. Generally speaking, high-quality
content that's valuable to the members.

Our group meets monthly. Consistency is important. Canceling meetings is
bad, so erring on fewer meetings to ensure they happen is a good thing.

I probably wouldn't want to meet more than that. The meeting is structured
around one talk followed by hands-on coding. We want people to leave
feeling like they learned something and can start contributing in code
right away.

Best,
Jason
