The Python community works hard to make PyPI a beautiful place,
without external url. And your first "public" action is to put the
most important file on BitBucket. Seriously?

Advantages:
- Mirrored (don't forget the internal mirrors) with a PyPI tool
- No dependency on a private infrastructure
- Only one rule on Firewall (pass on pypi.python.org)
- Works if Bitbucket is down

Disadvantages:
