[EuroPython] How do I query talks and attendee database?

I have grown very tired from trying to query the databse from the web.
There must be an interface where we can write simple Python scripts that can 
be run from the shell account to extract the information from the database.

Hopefully, it is just as simple to write scripts that modify the database.

Apart from an example of how to do this, I would need a schema of the database 
as well. I assume that extracting one is a piece of cake, if you know how.
