[group-organizers] Are the talk videos conveying an accurate picture of the conference?

I was speaking to a Python enthusiast at the Where 2.0 conference, but
was dismayed to learn that he had a negative impression of the Python
Conference and no desire to attend because he had watched many of the
talk videos and thought they were dull. I had to persuade him that the
three PyCons I had attended had all been really enjoyable because of the
people I met and the friends I made.
How is it that the people I know who attended thought PyCon was awesome
but people I meet who never attended think that it will be boring?
Perhaps it would be better if we could post video interviews of people
during or after the conference testifying to how great and fun the
conference is? This would be the equivalent of having great Yelp
testimonials of the conference.
I see no equivalent of attendee reviews on the current PyCon webpage.
