Hello!
I've downloaded IDLE and IDLEfork and it looks as
a very cool thing. The main thing I'm missing is
expantion not according to text which was already
displayed, but according to the object's real
attributes.
I looked a bit on the source code of CallTip and
to me it looks possible to write an extension
that will do this expantion in visual C++ style.
What I think of is that when a '.' is entered, a
list of attributes will open, which will scroll
itself according to what's written, 'up' and
'down' keys will scroll it manually, and, say,
the 'tab' key will complete what's written
according to what's selected in the list.
Were any attempts made to write such a thing? If
not, I may try to do it myself, but in at least a
month as I'm currently quite busy.
