[Image-SIG] PIL on intel based Mac not compiling

On that topic -- I'd love to have PIL using the hardware acceleration
on my Mac, the way that numpy does, out of the box.  To do this, we'd
have to re-write parts of the PIL C code to (optionally, of course)
use CoreGraphics, though.
