Chances are that you trying to install the 32-bit version of PIL 1.1.6 
on a 64-bit Python version. That will not work. I have a 64-bit build of 
PIL 1.1.7 available on my homepage 
<http://www.lfd.uci.edu/~gohlke/#pythonlibs>.
