Completely agreed, less 'terminal-y' frontends will probably want to
expose this differently, especially if they are dealing possibly with
multiple kernels. At that point some kind of gui widget with 'stop'
little icons is probably a more sensible interface than a blind Ctrl-C
forwarding.
