Not from within Mailman, no.  Three ways that I can think of are

   a) watch your SMTP logs
   b) preprocess your list with a procmail filter that keeps a tally 
      (but it will also count messages that go to the list but aren't
      approved)
   c) if using an external archiver, add something to keep a tally.  If
      not, set up an external archiver to be a perl script or some 
      such that just increments a counter.  Probably the most accurate
      way, in my opinion.
