[Mailman-Users] Virtual Domain Support?

I've seen some mention in the docs that Mailman can support virtual
domains, but haven't been able to find any step-by-step instructions on
how to make it do so.  Could someone possibly point me in the direction of
such instructions or give me at least a brief overview of what they are?
This is for Mailman v2.0 with ssendmail 8.9.3.
