[Mailman-Users] How does Mailman mail, man?

witty, eh?

i've been dissecting the code to the best of my abilities, but i've come up 
short

it seems to me that Mailman just calls sendmail per To: email address

i'm wondering if i'm missing something -- is it sending to bcc:s, or doing 
crazy things with the envelopes like perl's mail:bulkmail (which will use 
the envelope to send the msg to everyone at one domain in  one shot)

i'm trying to guage the performance of this on my smtp server -- i'm weary 
of postfix  getting inundated w/sendmails from Mailman or disk space issues 
from all these  mail files
