[Mailman-Users] the old wanted/got gid

Someone help me grab a clue, please.
Read the FAQ, check. Read the INSTALL, check.
Read any Google hits for mailman/wanted/got/gid..., check.

System:
RS/6000 AIX 5.1

Apps:
postfix 1.1.7
mailman-2.0.9
apache-1.3.22-1

So far, I have tried: (doing at least make cleans between, if not rm -rf *)
./configure --with-mail-gid=mailman --with-cgi-gid=nobody
./configure --with-mail-gid=nobody --with-cgi-gid=nobody
./configure --with-mail-gid=nobody --with-cgi-gid=mailman
./configure --with-mail-gid=postfix --with-cgi-gid=mailman
./configure --with-mail-gid=postdrop --with-cgi-gid=mailman
./configure --with-mail-gid=postdrop --with-cgi-gid=nobody
./configure

The last one had no options, and resulted in the install choosing mail-gid
'mail'.

c script. WANTED gid 6, GOT gid -2. (Reconfigure to take -2?) )

/etc/passwd

nobody:*:-2:-2::/:

/etc/group

nobody:!:-2:lpd,nobody

/home/mailman/mail/wrapper is
-rwxr-sr-x 1 mailman mailman 233461 May 02 09:55 wrapper

What is the combination to unlock this?

BTW, I thank you for Mailman, and all my ex-majordomo listowners will thank
you, once I unleash it on them. I've had to manually build web interfaces to
majordomo since 1995.
