Yes.

You will need to have Python installed if that isn't already there 
(http://www.python.org).

The machine to run Mailman must have an MTA such as Sendmail or Postifx 
installed on it to deliver incoming post for lists to Mailman.

You may also need to install the GNU version of some utilities like make 
and patch to use instead of of the Sun versions of same when building 
Mailman. I believe these precursors are readily available from Sun's 
support site.
