Chris,

I believe the trick is to use the format of %(fullname)s for the user's 
fullname.  I don't know if there is a first name variable or not.

If you load the members of the list with the format:

Some Text Here <email-address>

Then "Some Text Here" will be the "fullname" variable.  That's why I 
would be somewhat surprised to find Mailman parsed it into first and 
last name.  But it might.

I'll do a little investigating.
