Aha! Looks like it also occurs when one has a typo in mm_cfg.py 
(HTDIG_SEARCH_PATH instead of HTDIG_HTSEARCH_PATH). Oops. But thanks 
for the tip--it pointed me in the right direction! Everything's working 
now.
