[Mailman-Users] False Moderator Requests?

Greetings,

We have just begun using mailman and are discovering it's mysteries.  Please
be patient with ignorant questions!

I have a dozen lists, none actively used yet, that are set up ready to
convert people from our old list processor.  This morning each list sent an
email from the "listhame-bounces" address to the "listname-owner" with the
following message:

>The listname at domain mailing list has -1 request(s) waiting for your

>    http://domain/mailman/admindb/listname
    
>Please attend to this at your earliest convenience.  This notice of
>pending requests, if any, will be sent out daily.

When I go to the URL and try to resolve the waiting request I encounter the
following message:

As far as I can see there are NO requests waiting for the moderator and
nothing to resolve.

What's going on?
