Actually, assuming there is no problem with the joenews-leave at joe.com
alias, that doesn't result in unsubscription. It results in an e-mail
From: joenews-request at joe.com with Subject: "confirm" followed by a
string of 40 hex digits being sent to the subscriber. This
confirmation must be responded to by e-mail or by following a link
contained in it before the user is unsubscribed.

Could the problem be that the confirmation is not being seen for some
reason?
