Hello everyone,

I have a mailing list that appears to have eaten a post today, and I'm
a bit concerned because the mailman logs don't include any information
as to why.

First, the exim logs show that the message was sucessfully received
and routed to mailman:

2005-07-25 12:23:57 1Dx5kD-0005Ag-0p <= lin-mark at lin-mark.com H=rwcrmhc12.comcast.net [216.148.227.85] P=esmtp S=7082 id=01fc01c59135$30b79900$2202a8c0 at MarkXP
2005-07-25 12:23:57 1Dx5kD-0005Ag-0p => linmarka <Linmarka at list.lin-mark.com> R=mailman_router T=mailman_transport
2005-07-25 12:23:57 1Dx5kD-0005Ag-0p Completed

However, our mailman logs show nothing about the message. There has
been no logged traffic to to the linmarka list. However, around the
same time there are these ominous messages in the smtp log:

smtp:Jul 25 12:23:59 2005 (23825) All recipients refused: please run connect() first
smtp:Jul 25 12:23:59 2005 (23825) All recipients refused: please run connect() first
smtp:Jul 25 12:23:59 2005 (23825) All recipients refused: please run connect() first
smtp:Jul 25 12:23:59 2005 (23825) All recipients refused: please run connect() first
smtp:Jul 25 12:23:59 2005 (23825) All recipients refused: please run connect() first
smtp:Jul 25 12:23:59 2005 (23825) All recipients refused: please run connect() first
smtp:Jul 25 12:23:59 2005 (23825) All recipients refused: please run connect() first
smtp:Jul 25 12:24:00 2005 (23825) All recipients refused: please run connect() first

The message isn't sitting in any of the mail queues that I can find,
and there are no logs for the list today - I read over all the logs
for Jul 25 to make sure I didn't miss anything.

What can cause that error and what can I do to prevent this in the
future?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
