[Mailman-Users] Address Does Not Exist

This is a new one on me:
I have created a new list (cmats-oc at mysite.edu).  
I've checked my aliases file and run newaliases.   When members or
non-members 
send e-mail to the list, they get the following message:

Bill

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:	Test
      Sent:	6/7/2006 2:28 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

      cmats-oc at cls.coe.utk.edu on 6/7/2006 2:28 PM
            The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this
message was sent to.  Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient
directly to find out the correct address.
