I think we could put up with "one last change", to a new format that 
was pretty much guaranteed to be self-consistent no matter how many 
times you wipe and rebuild the archives.

Note that this was one of the first bugs I ever filed for Mailman, 
years ago.  It hasn't been addressed since then, and I've long since 
given up hope that it would ever be addressed any time soon.
