There are two security issues mentioned in the announcement. The first
of these was exposed and addressed in 2.1.10b1 and the second in
2.1.10rc1. That is the reason for the recommendation. However, per the
previously announced schedule, the 2.1.10 final release is expected to
be available on April 21, so if you've waited this long, you might as
well wait for the final.
