I'm not sure why the first one doesn't 'work'. it will match
From: me at com.br
From: you at com.brassworks.org
Subject: asking about From: headers and @comobravo
and lots of others. The second is even more liberal if it's not a typo.
Try
^From:.*[@.]com\.br($|>)
