First see the FAQ at <http://wiki.list.org/x/sYA9>.

That said, this should not be happening. Mailman should be sending
messages with Sender: and Errors-To: headers and most importantly
envelope from (Return-Path:) the LISTNAME-bounces at domain address. MTAs
should be sending Delivery Status Notifications (DSNs) to the envelope
from address. This should not go to the list.

Is your list anonymous. I.e. is anonymous_list on the General Options
page set to Yes causing posts to be sent out From: the list address?
Some broken MTAs will return DSNs to the From: address. This is wrong,
but there is nothing you can do about it other than set anonymous_list
to no.

Also, an MTA should not be sending a DSN From: the original recipient
address or any address other than something like mailer-daemon or
postmaster. These should be non-members and if you Hold non-member
posts, they should not go to the list without moderator approval
(Privacy options... -> Sender filters -> generic_nonmember_action =
Hold).

If you post one of the actual "Delivery Error" messages here, we may be
able to say more, but if there is some Mailman issue involved, it will
most likely have to be dealt with by your hosting provider.
