[Mailman-Users] Hangs when trying to start mailman as root

[root at openge bin]# head mailmanctl
#! /usr/bin/python

[root at openge bin]# which python
/usr/bin/python
[root at openge bin]# /usr/bin/python

I know very little about advanced python.  I've only done some basic
scripting using lists.  Do you think I'm getting that error when mailmanctl
is being run by root?
