Already done.  I created <http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/freelancers> last night -- before the worst of the flu hit me.  Right now, I'm loopy enough that I wouldn't trust myself to be making administrative changes like this.

I can't tell for sure, but Pete may have already logged in and made some changes to the list configuration.  At least the list description looks a little different from what I vaguely remember putting in.
