So you didn't read this in update.html?:

This is because of many changes to configuration, data format, filenames 
and pathes.

In any case, make a backup or you risk destroying your wiki's content.

Please read the `CHANGES` file in the toplevel directory of your moin 
archive for details on what changed and how to upgrade.
