How should I interpret:

    if בייקון.spam:

Even if we restricted identifiers to a single script, the combinations
of identifiers would still have this issue.

Maybe they're trying to inject a security breach?  Unicode identifiers
do make auditing by inspection harder.

It could be turned into one, using a custom "encoding" codec.
