Python 2.2b1+ (#1, Nov  6 2001, 21:52:55) [GCC 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
(conectiva)] on linux-i386 Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or
"license" for more information.

Should xxsubtype be a builtin module? The line mentioning it in
Setup.dist is uncommented by default. Maybe it's there just for
testing purposes?
