Chris,
thanks for the background information. The criteria we listed on the
page are just guidelines to help us choose the right calendar.
I think for things like sprints, barcamps, unconferences, and
similar smaller events, which reach out to the general public
instead of mostly a user group membership, the events calendar
is fine as well.
I've clarified the classification a bit in that direction.
We'll add your events to the events calendar.
