Are postings to comp.lang.python.announce mirrored here?

    | to comp.lang.python.announce were automatically
    | copied here; not true?

Not true. But remember that c.l.py.a is also mirrored on
python-announce-list at python.org. You can subscribe via

    | 2. Is it considered bad form to cross-post new S/W
    | announcements to both lists? Or is that the Right
    | Thing to do?

It's probably okay (as long as it's a real crosspost and not two
separate posts). The thing /not/ to do is post announcements only to
c.l.py. The `Recent Announcements' part of the Python home page, and
the corresponding Netscape channel, is only culled from c.l.py.a.
