Perl is sure much faster, but that's only because they use a 
secret weapon:

The crazy Camel of the desert. 

This got some advantages and some disadvantages:

Advantages:

- If you're lucky and you own a female Camel you can drink some milk.

Disadvantages:

- Camel may bite you, or hit you. You know, they're quite illiterate
and rude.

- While going thru the desert you can be violently anally raped by
some arabs, or much worse, you may have to understand other's people
Perl's code.
