I probably started the discussion, but I certainly contributed. I do a
*teeny* (and bad) bit of Roman numeral code in TYPython, but it's not
very useful.
I also have archived a bunch of posts from the Historia-Matematica list
covering pretty much every aspect of Roman numerals; I've been meaning
to stick these together with some glue and (after obtaining HM's
listowner's permission) work them into a web page, with examples in
Python. RSN, uh-huh. ...
