mod_perl and mod_python, is perl better for that task?

I agree. I must admit to preferring PHP for sites with minimal complexity.
I would prefer a python solution, but I *can* remember to use braces and
semicolons when forced. :)

I think a lot of the enthusiasm for both mod_perl and mod_python have gone
over to PHP, for good reason. PHP has all the advantages of server-side
javascript without all the annoyances. :)
