XLink/XPointer processing in Python

Hi,

I want to build an XML processing app which shall be
able to process "simple" links according to the XLink
spec (using SAX).

I haven't found any information on how these are handled
in the processing application, so I assume, I must handle
the xlink:href attribute content on 'my' own? Are there
any reusable pieces of software to do so?
