go to this page:

http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list

click on the "visit subscriber list" button

find the mail address you're subscribed under (the address you
used to send this mail doesn't appear in that list), click on that
address, and then click on the "email my password to me".

wait until the mail arrives, paste the password into the password
field, and click "unsubscribe"
