lame question about Pyython and PyGTK

Hi,
  I hava such a structure in each line of a file:
key1 : key2 : value
  I'd like to read it and (somehow) transform to a structure that could be 
used in creating gkt.Tree object, like this: the first "layer" of the tree 
would be the key1-s, for each kye1 there would be list of subtrees 
(key2-s) containing values. I'm not sure if I made myself clear, but I 
really need  this help...
