Dear All,
My name is Loek van Gent. I'm from The Netherlands. I signed up for this
mailng list a few months ago. I was looking for Python communities across
Africa. This was one of the few groups around. Months passed by without any
post to this list.
I'm very excited to see how things are now starting to blossom.
The projects I run use Django. The Django (and Python) community in The
Netherlands and Europe is a very awsome one. Everyone is always trying to
help each other and to share the knowledge.
Because of this I joined Python Namibia this year and will do so next
January. I am eager to help out fireing up the Python community in Nigeria
in any way I can.
I currently work for 1%Club https://onepercentclub.com/en/. We're a
crowdfunding platform for small projects all over the world. Next year we
want to set up a website targeted at Nigeria too. That involves connecting
to Nigerian payment systems.
I will meet Aisha in Namibia next month, but I'm sure I'll meet some of you
in the coming year be it online or in person!
Good luck to you all and know that you have lots of support, not only from
me but from Pythonists around the world!
Kind regards & keep coding!
Loek
