[python-nigeria] About Python Nigeria and Thoughts on Programming in Python (Nigerian Newbie version)

Hello,
I have been a silent participant in this group for a while now, but there
are some thoughts I have which I wish to share.
The group (Python Nigeria): I have noticed that all activity in this group
is focused on web development in general and the use of Django in
particular. I think this current focus on Django as a sole web development
framework has been one of the reasons why I have not been an active member
and I dont think I am the only one who feels this way because I think I
speak for some other Pythonistas too. Python is a versatile scripting
language which has uses in areas as diverse as physics to robotics to
biology to animation etc.
There are some people here who can contribute their wealth of knowledge
gained from using Python in various areas which we could all gain from.
Let's not shut them out.
About the Python book (Nigerian newbie version). I am all for this idea and
would like to add a little of what I know to the body of knowledge. How do
we do a collaborate authoring of the book? Ideas are welcome.
