[python-win32] Character sets and symbols question

I'm copying from a pdf file.

When I paste it in an email it looks like what I want:
├──┬─word:──────────┬──┤

When I paste it into PythonWin I get:
„¥„Ÿ„Ÿ„¦„Ÿword:„Ÿ„Ÿ„Ÿ„Ÿ„Ÿ„Ÿ„Ÿ„Ÿ„Ÿ„Ÿ„¦„Ÿ„Ÿ„§

How can I get the nice graphic in PythonWin?
