Okay, okay... I'll put a few hours of work into the menubar. It must be 
something simple, as the IDE doesn't have any problems with menubars. If 
someone can point me to some clear instructions on what I should 
download and how I should build it (and preferrably so easy to 
understand that there's something  left of the "few hours" mentioned 
above that I can actually manage to debug something:-) I'll give it a go.

As to the multiple instantiations: have you tried this from the command 
line with Python from CVS? For me this works fine. As to why it only 
works from the command line, that's still an open issue.

And the dock icons I'll leave to someone else, this should be easy.
