[Pythonmac-SIG] BuildApplet in next distro of MacPython?

Just to give the party line on this:
- BuildApplet and PythonIDE will be with us as-is for the MacPython 2.4
series of releases. They may move into some dark corner when
replacements are available, but they will be available.
- Like you (and has, if I understand him correctly) I think the minimal
functionality BuildApplet provides has a place in the grand scheme of
things. Bob is 100% right in all of his arguments (it doesn't work, it
can't work, it won't work anywhere else, it'll only work in a very
limited number of cases, etc etc etc), but BuildApplet has been with us
for 10 years now and proven it's worth. And what it does was copied
from "save as applet" in Apple's Script Editor (along with all the
warts) and that is still going strong after 15 years. So if I have a
say in things there'll be something as simple as BuildApplet for a long
time to come:-)
